I built a Chrome extension to fix Bing Chat AI's font.
Bing Chat AI comes with a search feature built in, so I'd guess some people split their time between it and ChatGPT.
But its Japanese font is just awful. It really feels like whoever built it figured "any Asian language font will basically do" and slapped on a Chinese-style font instead.
So I put together a Chrome extension that simply swaps in your PC's default font.
It's free, so give it a try! And if you like it, I'd appreciate a star on the store (not sure what good it does, but hey).
Development notes
Apparently, if an extension is designed to trigger on a specific URL, users have to grant permission for it, and I'd heard review could take a while once it's uploaded to the store. It ended up going live in about six hours, though, which was a relief.
I also half expected it to get rejected since it references a specific company's product name, but that turned out fine too.
Update, 2024/01/31
Getting bounced to the search screen whenever you scroll while using the chat AI was driving me crazy,
so in this update I added a fix that stops that redirect from happening.
